My 2022 Art Journal - By Me, For Me

Today I am excited to share the start of my 2022 Art Journal!  Art journaling was something I played around with in 2021 and loved the freedom it gave me to just create! To try new techniques. To try new stamps, new textures and  USE  my papers and scraps! I know that I will not love all my creations and some won't even ever be seen!  But this is by me and for me so that's ok!   No Rules! No Limits (except for paper size!    For this year's journal, I choose a travel journal I had picked up off of amazon that I loved and had hope to use as a scrapbook of sorts but felt the pages were too thin. But I couldn't let it go to waste so it will be my Art Journal!  And I love the size.  Roughly 4 1/8  x 6 3/4 inches.  Big enough to get creative but not so big that it would get overwhelming. You Can find the exact journal on Amazon  here  if you want to try the same one, but any 3 to 6 ring binder will do! and in Any size. Sup...

Paper Doll Art Journal Page

Greetings! Today I am excited to share this art journal page I created.  I am trying really hard to create at least one page a month.  Looking back at the page, I see that I must have been thinking about climbing this uphill battle of life of a working mom and wife  in a currently very high stress job who loves to create but has trouble finding the time while trying not to slip back down the slope of life.  So let's get started.   To recreate this Project you will need: Blank Page Muse Supplies  Newsprint Paper Doll Large Art Rubber Stamp  I am my own woman Sentiment Art Rubber Stamp Photobooth Woman Portrait Photo Style Art Rubber Stamp Alphabet Letter Set Sheet Art Rubber Stamp by Terri Sproul Other Supplies  Kraft, brown and Cream Card Stock, wide and thin width lace, jute, brown archival ink Start by stamping your   Newsprint Paper Doll Large Art Rubber Stamp  ,  I am my own woman Sentiment Art Rubber St...

Queen of Hearts Art Journal Page

One of my goals this year was to create projects for an art journal.  This project features two Clear Scraps Stencils and Clear Scraps Chipboard.  Creating the Background Using the Clear Scraps 4x6 Brick Wall stencil , apply gold ink along edges of black card stock.  Move stencil down and around page to create a full border.  Add stenciled bricks to top and bottom of your background.  Secure  the Clear Scraps 6  inch Diamond Heart Stencil to a piece of Bristol Board paper ( you could also use mixed media papers) .  Apply distress inks through stencil. Cut apart a crown from the Clear Scraps Crowns Chipboard.  Coat  Clear Scraps Crowns Chipboard  with embossing ink and add gold embossing powder and heat emboss.  Stamp a focal point stamp over your stenciled heart. I of course chose an Alice in Wonderland themed stamp.  Border punch top of your page and add matted sticker sentiment. Mat onto red card stock and then o...

Adventure Awaits Art Journal Page

Today I am excited to share this art journal page I created using my Clear Scraps Stencils . This page features the following stencils: Clear Scraps 6 inch Turtle Stencil  Clear Scraps 5 x9 inch Swirl Tree Layering Stencil This art journal page also uses Watercolor paper, distress inks, water, Embossing ink, clear embossing powder and sticker sentiments.  Start by securing your  Clear Scraps 6 inch Turtle Stencil   to your watercolor paper.  Ink your turtle using distress inks.  Leaving the  Clear Scraps 6 inch Turtle Stencil   in place, ink turtle with embossing ink.  Add clear embossing powder and heat emboss. this will protect your turtle from "water" damage in later steps.  Using distress inks, ink your ocean.  Add Sea plant to your page using  Clear Scraps 5 x9 inch Swirl Tree Layering Stencil  and distress inks.  Move the  Clear Scraps 5 x9 inch Swirl Tree Layering Stencil  to add more plants...
