Today I am sharing my take on this week's sketch from Sketches in Thyme.  I love creating with their sketches.  So many possibilities.  I rotated this week's sketch to allow for landscape photos. I can't wait to see everyone's take on the sketch!

Today I am sharing this layout which I created for this month's mini crop at Turtle Soup.  This month the Design Team is challenging our members to create with specific color schemes. I choose blues, browns and gold.  Hope you decide to play along with us at Turtle Soup .

Today I sharing this layout created using Kreaxions # 916 punch .  I used the punch to punch the turquoise border, saving some of the scrolls from the punch outs to add to the corners.  I then used the reverse side of the paper and remainder left from punch for the chevron border.   I used a Sin City Stamps Stencil and molding paste to add some additional color to the background.

Today I am sharing my take on this months sketch for Turtle Soup.  I started off with BEv's Sketch and then added some white letters for my title.  I inked up the letters with distress ink to change their colors.  I added some cream flowers that I added some Twinkling H2O's from ColourArte to the flower centers and leaves and then added some dew drops from the Robin's Nest to the center of the Flowers.  On the background I used some ColourArte Radiant Gels and a Sin City Stencil (pattern #2) .

Today I am sharing my tke on this week's sketch over at Turtle Soup . I was in a playful mood and decided to get a little inky with this one.  The background piece started as a piece of Kraft cardstock.  In inked it up with Distress Inks and a Tim Holtz Distress Stencil. I used some Stampin Up stamps and coordinating punches on patterned paper for the flowers.  I also stamped the butterfly on paptterend paper and then fancy cut it out.  I added some stamped stitches along the block pieces.  Hope you are inspired to play along! Turtle Soup is having a National Scrapbooking Day Mini Crop.  That's Right! even more challenges for you to play along with.  For my challenge I want you to create a layout using texture or the illusion of texture.  I used a coral colored corrugated paper for my background piece and then added some punched burlap "paper" that is really backing from some products I purchased.  i then added some burlap flowers.

Yesterday started this month's mini crop at Turtle Soup .  This month the Design Team is challenging members to use their stash.  My challenge is to use those punches that may be (or may not be) collecting dust.  I used 2 different butterfly punches, a flower punch and a border punch from Kreaxions. Besure to jump in and play along

Today I am sharing my take on this week's Sketches in Thyme   sketch by Shawn Lahr.  A you may remember I was so sad when Nuts about Sketches took a break from doing sketches.  So I decided to try out for another sketch team at Sketches in Thyme and made it !!!  When the was announced, I discovered Shawn was there and then I found out I was on her sketch team and got to continue playing with her sketches!!!!!!  This layout is another animal layout from Yellowstone.  I used some old Sass a Fras Lass stamps for the stitching and then added Sin City Stamps for the title.  I also played with a new toy modge podge melts here for the flower centers and the butterfly.

HI! Today I am sharing this layout I created using Kreaxions punches!For this layout I used Kreaxions #907  to create the border strip.  I then used Kreaxions #307 with the positioning part B to create the corner inlays.  I love how many different ways there are to use these punches!

Yep, I am still working my way through the pictures of our first Yellowstone trip!  As of this week I am officially 4 vacations behind including another trip to Yellowstone*grin*.  But I am almost done with this trip down to the animals we saw along the way.  This was a Sandhill  Crane that landed in a grassy area.  I used this week's Sketches in Thyme sketch (#144).  Hope you come and play with the sketches there super fun.

Today I am sharing a layout for our Design Team Reveal for Kreaxions/Just Imagine.  Our Theme today is All Things Green.  I used the Kreaxion punch # 304 with the star template and the A insert to create the doily behind the flower.  I then used the same punch with the C insert to create the corner punches.  The circle was cut with the circle cutter.  I added a few stamping touches using Sin City Stamps Alphabets and some mini stamps from the Anime Fairies collection.  What have you stamped lately?

Today I am sharing a layout created with this weeks sketch from Nuts about Sketches.  I really love the color combo on this!  Red and black are not new combos for me but love the teal addition!  What have you been creating lately?  Sadly this is my last Nuts About Sketches creation and the site is going to be taking a break.  I will really miss Shawn's Sketches!  Especially the 2 pagers!  Some of my favorite layouts have been created with her sketches!

Today I am sharing this adorable layout of Buffalo Ranch in Yellowstone National Park.  I love the golds and browns together for this layout.  And loved the gold mottled paper and wanted to show it off so I created a  large doily.  I started by cutting a large circle using my Kreaxions Circle cutter and then marked the punch lines on the back side with the 'A' positioning stencil.  I then punched along the lines using my #304 Kreaxions punch!  I then used my We R Memory Keepers stamping punch wheel to create the border around the photos. Have you punched anything fun lately?

I loved this sketch from Nuts about Sketches (sketch # 356).  Look at all those photos!  and of course there are more Yellowstone pictures!   I even used a bit of washi tape !!!! 

While in Yellowstone I was amazed by all the trees, alive and dead.  I love looking at the dead trees showing evidence of all the hot spots moving around.  You can see live trees right on the edges of the pools, then the hot spot shift just a tiny bit and kills off those trees.  For this layout I use this week's Nuts about Sketches sketch #349 and of course my Kreaxions circle cutter. 

Here is the proof that I actually go on vacations with my family.  So often I forget to hand over my camera to make sure I am in the pictures too.  AS you can see in the photos, I am still with my camera,  but my hubby managed to snap a few shots of me :D .  I remember this day, it started out warm and then the temperature drop very rapidly.  Just look at how windy it was--my hair is standing straight out!!.  For this layout I used this week's Nuts about Sketches #347,  my Kreaxions circle cutter, I really love that tool, and some MME Market Street papers from a My Creative Scrapbook kit. 

For this layout I used Sketch #346 from Nuts about Sketches.  I love how many photos there were in the sketch! Absolutely perfect for my vacation photos!  Here I added a lot of miscellaneous hot spots in the geyser basins.  I love how you can see the steam rolling off these! You may notice I used my handy Kreaxions circle cutter again.  I love how that little tool cuts circles within circles!

  I created this layout using this week's sketch from Nuts about Sketches (#341).  I even hand sewed on the layout!  Something I haven't done in a long time!  I use the circle wreath on the paper as the circle on the sketch!  I love it when the paper does the work for me!  Do you use sketches?  What do you look for in a sketch?
