Soft Pastels Watercolor Card

Welcome crafty stampers to today's Craft Room Therapy.  Today we are going to create and with the Soft Pastels from Stampin' Up! . These are my first time ever playing with the Soft Pastels! They are so fun that I created 2 cards to share and I can't wait to play and create with them some more. The first card using normal stamping techniques and the second card creates a resist outlined image as shown below. Getting Started and creating your backgrounds Start by creating your card bases by cutting two 4 x 11 inch pieces from Basic White Cardstock. Fold at 5 1/2 inches to create two 4 x 5 1/2 inch card bases.  Cut two pieces of watercolor paper to 3.5 x 5 inches.  Resist Card Add your embossing pouch from the embossing Tool Kit  .  Stamp your image from  Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set  onto your water color paper with  Versamark Ink Pad  and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.    Using your Soft Pastels Using your soft pas...

He is the Reason for the Season Easter Card

Spring Greetings!  Chris here and today I am excited to share this quick and easy Easter greeting card!  Often I forget to create card for the Easter season until I start receiving cards in the mail. This year I vowed to have a few on hand! So this quick and easy card can be recreated in 4 easy steps and can be created in any color! So let's get started.  Step 1. Start by stamping the He is the reason for the Season image from I Brake For Stamps onto water color paper with Versa Mark.  This is such a gorgeous stamp! Step 2. Add white embossing powder to your stamped image and heat emboss your stamped image.  Step 3.  Choose your favorite distress ink color s and blend over your image.  Wipe ink off your embossed image. I choose to use purples and blues but you could easily choose yellows and oranges or any other color combo!  Step 4. And the final step. Mat your image onto coordinating cardstock and add to your card base. ...

Art Journal Page with Blank Page Muse Stamps

I have really been trying to push myself to just create!  I started this art journal as a way for my to collect my creations.  This entire page is based around the sentiment quote about Life is not a fairy tale!   Now a little side-note.. just because life isn't a fairy tale and doesn't always turn out the way you planned, doesn't mean it isn't good!   My journal page turned out a little more neon-y in color than I originally planned, but as I am a child of the 80's I thought it was perfect!  Blank Page Muse Supplies Vintage Shoe with Pocket Watch Art Rubber Stamp Art Journaling #2 Rubber Stamp Set by Terri Sproul  Vintage look Fancy Filigree Corner Art Rubber Stamp Baked Texture Artist Embossing Powder by Seth Apter & Emerald Creek VINTAGE BEESWAX Baked Texture Artist Embossing Powder by Seth Apter & Emerald Creek ANCIENT AMBER Shop now and save! Giving Thanks

Today I am sharing this card I made for this month's Fall Color Design Team Challenge at Just Imagaine/Kreaxions Punches. I started out by embossing some craft cardstock and then using my Kreaxions 903 punch with the C insert to create the perfect corner punch for my journaling block. I love how many options you have with each punch!
