Craft Room Makeover - Part 2

Here is where we were yesterday!  SO I placed an order for my additional 3- 6 cube storage units, tried out a few paint samples and narrowed it down to a pinkish color.  SO while I was waiting for my cube unit sto be available at pickup I went to Hobby Lobby for a little inspiration.  I found this cool colors floral painting I wanted to place above the door and these large florals for inspiration. The large circle painting alas did not fit and has been repurposed in the upstairs bath!  then off to the hardware store to pick out my paint.  And I found an even better shade of Paint called Ballet Slipper.   I now walk into the room and just smile!   It is sooooo bright!  Next step Storage.  I choose to white and even painted a wooden hutch unit white.  The storage unit at the end of my table is going to double as my die cut station!  And I found some frilly white curtains to not block the sun!  Next step purging an...

Craft Room Makeover

SO I have been a crafter for a LONG time!  and have moved from every supply I owned fitting into a bag to a basement craft room to an closet craft room to a craft room once my oldest moved out.  Once she moved out permanently (she got married).. I didn't look back and just moved my supplies in without changing much- not the carpet (a mauve-y pink), not the wall color (a bold bright lime green), not the curtains .   And because I have been crafting for a long while I needed to purge!   So here are some of my before pictures.   OH yea did I mentioned it is a converted attic so I have slanted walls!   THE BEFORE  Want my area lacked was - LIGHT.. the room color sucked up the lighting, my desk storage blocked the window.  SPACE...even though I had 2 tables i felt like I was crafting in a 12x12 space!  STORAGE ... I know I Had too much goodness!  but also my impish puppy was constantly pulling out things from the bas...

Creating a Woven Texture Floral Card with punches

Hello my crafty friends today I am sharing this beautiful card  I created with the new Woven Textures designer papers and some of my favorite punches. Just look at the fun dimensions with this card.  Create your sentiment window  Start by punching or die cutting a circle onto the front of your card base.  (note this should be your smallest circle.  Place your Woven Texture paper inside card and trace the outline of your circle.  Center the smaller circle into you larger circle punch and punch.  Create your Flowers  Start by punching several flowers in several sizes  and leaf stem or boughs.  Scrunch up your punched flowers for extra dimension. Layer your flower pieces to create a 3D flower.  Layer your leaf stems/bough around your sentiment window.   Add your flowers accenting with embellishments as desired.
