Layers of Beauty Stamped Card Set

Welcome crafty stampers to today's Craft Room Therapy.  Today we are going to create with Stampin' Up!'s new Layers of Beauty Stamp and mask set. I admit I am in love with this set and you will see lots of color variations in the next week or two! I wanted to share these two cards first as they were my first attempts. I also wanted to see how the colors looked on Basic White (left) vs. Basic Beige(right). I chose to stamp my images in Basic Beige Ink and use 3 shades of yellow inks to color my flowers. But, I will show you in future days you DO NOT NEED multiple colors to create beautiful flowers. So let's get creating.

Shop the Supply List

Cardstock- Basic White, Basic Beige, Old Olive, Crushed Curry

Classic Ink -  Basic Beige, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Summer Splash, Old Olive , Mossy Meadow

Layers of  Beauty Stamp Set

Layers of Beauty Mask Set

Perennial Postage Die Set

Blender Brushes

Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon

White Ribbon (from Petal Pink & White Diagonal Trim)

Creating your Roses

Cut a piece of Basic White and Basic Beige to  4 1/2 x 6 inches. Stamp Floral cluster with Basic Beige ink.

Line up your mask with your stamped image.

Blend Lemon Lolly and Pool Party inks onto Mask #1

Layer stencil #2 and blend Daffodil Delight and Summer Splash over mask.

Using mask #3, blend Crushed Curry over mask. Just look how pretty the flowers look!

Blend Old Olive over Mask #4.

Blend Mossy Meadow over Mask #5.

Here is a close up of my finished flowers on Basic Beige (left) and Basic White (right). The Basic Beige has a more vintage look. And because we stamped our flowers in Basic Beige the ink lines gently outline the images.

Creating your Cards

Create two 5 x 6 1/2 inch card bases from Old Olive.  Stamp small leaf from Layers of Beauty stamp set with Old Olive ink,

Cut two pieces of Crushed Curry to 4 1/2 x 6 inches, then die cut with Perennial Postage die cuts. We will be using the frame portion of the cardstock.
Layer die cut frame over your masked images.

Adhere to card base.
Hand cut a banner and Stamp sentiment. adhere onto card over a folded piece of coordinating ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this little Craft Room "Therapy" session!
