A Sweet Day - Creating a Scrapbook Page with your Stamps and Dies!

Welcome crafty stampers to today's Craft Room Therapy.  Today we are going to create a scrapbook page with our Stamping and Die cutting supplies! Do you Scrap Book? I actually starting in scrapbooking about 20 years ago when my son was about 1. I had lots of kiddie photos to create with. you can find a lot of them here on my blog! But as the kiddies grew and became less cooperative with my sometimes excessive picture taking and the internet grew less safe to be posting pictures of the kids I drifted into cardmaking and other paper crafts! But a have a 2 year old grand baby and lots of furry grandbabies so I decided it was time to get back to my routes! The difference is you will see very little of my grand baby for safety. But creating scrapbook pages with your supplies can be super fun! For these pages I used my Bright and Beautiful Designer Papers an the Ice Cream Swirls Stamps and Die sets.

Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Basic White, Basic Beige, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel
Bright and Beautiful Designer papers
Something Fancy Die set
Ice Cream Swirl Stamps and Dies
Around the Bend Die Set (Past catalog and now Online Exclusive)
Stampin' Write Marker - Night of Navy

NOTE: I created these scrapbook pages to 8 x 8; if you use alternative sizes you may have to adjust sizes. You can also adjust the colors to match your photos.

Cut two Basic White pieces of cardstock to 8 x 8 inches.

Dei cut your Ice Cream cone from Crumb Cake Cardstock. Cut apart as we only one using one cone. Emboss your cone with the die.

Die cut Sprinkles and straw from Balmy Blue and Night of Navy Cardstock. (note I sued my "straw" as a spoon handle).  Die cut ice cream from basic White and swirl from Basic Beige.
Cut away bottom portion of the cone to create a bowl for your ice cream.

Die cut 2 scalloped edges from Bright and Beautiful Papers  with the Around the Bend Dies.

Using your Something Fancy dies, die cut  "rectangles" from Night of Navy (Largest) and Basic White (next size) and hexagon from Basic White.  Stamp Yum yum from your stamp set onto Hexagon using your Stampin' Write marker to ink stamp.

Cut photo mats from Balmy Blue and Night of navy as shown.  I use one 4 x 6 photo and two photos trimmed to 3 1/5 x 5 1/2 .  Cut approximately 2 inch Balmy Blue strip and assemble page as shown below.  Assemble your Ice Cream Cup and adhere to card.

Stamp Sentiment onto cardstock using bits a pieces from MAKE A WISH and HOPE YOUR DAY IS SWEET sentiments from the stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed this little Craft Room "Therapy" session!  and are encouraged to try using your stamps and dies on scrapbook pages.
