Expanding the use of your Submarine Life Builder Punch

Welcome crafty stampers to today's Craft Room Therapy.  Today we are going to create this adorable Happy Birthday card using the Submarine Life Builder Punch and Stamp Set. Now you probably scrolled back up to look at the picture and thought....Chris is losing her mind ...there are no Submarines on this card! Well. Do you see those balloons? They were once submarines :D .. So let me show you how.

Submarine Life Punch Builder
Submarine Life Stamp Set
Cardstock : Basic White
Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper
Paper trimmer (which includes the built in scoring tool)
Mini Dimensional Adhesive
Multi-purpose Liquid Glue
Loose Dot Embellishments
Stampin' Write Marker - Black
Classic Stampin Ink Pad (or Stampin' Write marker) - Blueberry Bushel

Start by creating a 4 x 5 1/2 inch card base but cutting your Basic White cardstock to 8 x 5 /12. Score and fold at 4 inches.

Trim the Striped Bright & Beautiful paper to 3 3/4x 5 1/4 inches. Line you paper onto your paper trimmer placing one corner at 2 inches and the other in line with the cutting/scoring grove. Using your GREY scoring blade score your paper to create a fold back flap. (HINT... When using my trimmer, I try to keep my cutting blade (black) at the top of my trimmer and the scoring blade at the bottom. Then I cut from the top and score from the bottom. trust me I have accidentally cut many card bases instead of scoring them. )

Fold back the scored flap and adhere to your card base .  I did add a little adhesive under my flap to insure it stayed flat.

Using your Blueberry Bushel Ink (or Marker) Stamp Happy Birthday onto your "open" corner on the card base.

Punch out three submarines using your Submarine Life Builder punch from your Bright and Beautiful papers.

Carefully trim off the top port of your submarines. This will "make" three balloons.

Using your Black Stampin' Write Marker add bow strings to your balloons.
Layer you balloons as shown, using a Mini Dimensional Adhesive to 'Pop Up" the top balloon. Adhere to your card as shown.

With you Stampin' Write Black marker hand draw a few Balloon Strings.

Add a few Loose Dot Embellishment with your Stampin' Picker tool and Liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this little Craft Room "Therapy" session!
