Greetings! Chris here and today I am excited to share this “Lady in Black”. I created my Lady in Black using my Shape from fotobella. This was such a fun project to create and play with! I chose to create my lady in blacks and turquoises, but you can choose to make yours in any colors you choose to customize your lady to your decor!
Supplies needed to create this project
Paints (base color, bodice color and flesh colors), pearls, fabric scraps (2 colors/patterns)
Optional Stapler
Creating your Lady in Black
Paint your bodice as desired. I chose black to match my fabrics.
Gather fabric scrap to create center skirt and secure with stapler to make it easier to adhere to base. ( My fabric scraps are 5 inch square leftover from a quilt I created.)
Adhere fabric to center of base as shown.
Gather 2 pattern of fabric scraps to create skirt sides and adhere to base.
Continue adding skirts to cover both sides stretch back sides of fabric to cover back of base.
Adhere painted bodice to base.
Add pearl trims to bodice and bottom of skirt.
Paint crown pieces and fan to match your lady.
Assemble crown as shown and add pearl to embellish fan.
Attach crown and embellished fan to your Lady in Black to finish your project.
