6 months later..... A Healthier Me

6 months ago I was in the ER for VERY high blood pressure, drinking 10-12 doses of caffiene a day and weighing ***. Today I am 6 months caffiene free!!!!! blood pressure usually runs LOW! and 32 +/- pounds lighter depending on the day! And I feel great... There were no magic tricks to how lost the weight! I completely changed the way I eat.. A site called The Daily Plate really helped me. (Its free :D) It allowed me to enter in my current wieght and how much I wanted to lose a week ( I started at 1.5 pounds a week) and then I very faithfully entered in the food I ate. This site really helped me makes good food choices. I found I could have several peices of fruit and it still didnt equal the caolories/fat or sodium of a candy bar. Sodium was very hard. I already never salted anything but there is soooo much hidden sodium in our diets. The site is great as you can search tons restaurant food and find the calorie/sodium/fat/carb etc count of all of them. you can also customize your own meals so that when I click breakfast it adds a yogurt and a banana.... The things I found most helpful is eat and eat often!!!!! Fruit as a snack after breakfast, and afternoon snack. Just keep eating! If you are struggling and wanting to do something this year try this site or any other like it! It was so nice this year to not have to make that dreaded resolution to lose weight!!!! and you know what I am kinda looking forward to getting a new bathing suit......it will still be a one piece as I am not that brave! :D

FORK BOWS at Stampin with DI Looks so fun a the tutorial is awesome! As Far as things I have been working on. I teamed up with JULES (see my blog roll on the left) to show off some creative ways to use Glimmer Mist for KNK . Here is some fun work with Glimmer Screens. Gerri-Anne Has all the supplies you need to create this available in the mall at KNK :D I love the glimmer screens which work much like a mask. Since the Glimmer Mist is a wetter medium than ink your screen must bes stuck down well to your project area. I used a stencil adhesive I got at Hobby Lobby. It is a rub on similar to a large glue pen...
