Creating a Acrylic Greeting Card

Susan over at Clear Scraps challenged our Design Team to create a Christmas Themed project using Clear Scraps Acrylic Sheets  .  To be honest, it had been a while since I used the Acrylic sheets to create a card.  I forgot how fun they are to create with! You can see the dimension they add below!  Start by trimming your Acrylic Sheet to fit your card base. Both sides of the acrylic have a protective film on them.  I always leave these on during the creation process.  Trim away all but 11/4 inches of card base front. Use a border punch on edge.  Punch through acrylic and card front. Cover card base with patterned paper.  Remove protective film from both sides of acrylic.  Attach to card base with jingle bell brads.  Layer gold card stock onto to card.  Add large snowflake.  Add flowers to front of acrylic card and sticker greeting to finish.  I hope you are inspired to try acrylic on your cards!

Create a Bright and Cheery Birthday Card

Happy Birthday!   Somewhere out there someone has a birthday.  I created this cheery card using my latest Blessings Box from Divinity Designs and my favorite adhesive ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever .    Start by cutting your paper to fit you card and die cut several balloons and balloon strings.  Stamp greeting in coordinating colors. Add ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever™ with ScraPerfect's No-Clog Writing Cap™   to add mat and patterened paper to your card. The No Clog card makes is so easy to add just a small amount of glue and that makes you glue last a lot longer! Layer die cut balloons.  Add adhesive to your balloon string and attach.  Once again the no clog writing tip make adding your adhesive super easy even on these tiny die cuts.  Add balloon strings and matted stamped greeting to finish your card.  AND.......be sure to Save one of the pieces from your die cut balloon for future use as later this month I will show you how to cr...

Steampunk Stroll

Today I am excited to share this art-sy page I created to play with this month's Steampunk challnge at Blank Page Muse. My vision was to imitate  a romantic looking "art" piece except using steampunk images, all while playing with my new watercolor markers.  This project features Blank Page Muse Up Up and Away Steampunk Airships Balloons Wings Art Rubber Stamp Set Blank Page Muse Octopus Time! Create your own Fall Decor with Clear Scraps

Fall is in the air!  so today I am excited to share this adorable Fall decor i created with Clear Scraps XL Wood Wagon.    I love how the finished project looks hanging on my door! To create your very own wagon, start by base coating your wagon with acrylic paint.  Once dry paint again with crackle medium and let dry.  Once dry, paint with top paint color and let dry.  You can see all the crackle details that pop as the project dries!  Add a floral sprig to finish your project.  I choose to tie jute onto my wagon to hang it, but you could also use your crop a dile punch and punch holes for hanging!
