I *heart* Us

Today I am sharing my challenge for this month's Mini Crop at Turtle Soup.  My challenge is to use pictures portraying love that are at least 20 years old. I choose to use pictures from my high school prom. (have to love the 80's) . I used Teresa Collins Save the Date papers. I created the scallop borderr using Dare 2B Artzy Dream Catcher stamp.  I stamped the dream Catcher onto black paper using Tsukineko Brillance ink and then cut it in half to create scallops.

A Royal Birthday Greeting

Today I am sharing this simple birthday card I created which would be perfect for the princesses in your life.  I started with a simple tag. I adhered several crowns that I punched from scratch papers using my # 611 punch.  After adhering I used gesso to cover the crowns and the tag.  I then colorwashed ( a facny term I use to describe randomly adding multiple water colors)  the tag using ColourArte Twinkling H2Os (Cranberry, Bougainvillea, Pink Azalea, Periwinkle) . After the watercolors dried I added my tag to my card front and added robbon, a sticker greeting and a gemstone.  Hope you are inspired to create!

Dreamy Valentine's Day Card

Today I am sharing this stunning card I created using Dare 2B Arzty Dream Catcher Stamp Set .  I am having so much fun with this set.  For this card I started by cutting my card 8 x 5 1/2 inches.  Instead of folding it i half I scored my card at 2 inches and 6 inches and folded the "flaps" to make make my card front. I then cut my front panels slightly smaller (1 1/2 x 5) and stamped the 2 front panels with the Dream Catcher stamp and my Candied Apple Distress Ink.  I matted the 2 front panels on black card stock and adhered them to my card. I added a chip heart to which I had re-colored with my distress ink and added a small piece of a paper doily. I adhered to the left front of the card allowing a small bit of the heart to over hang the right panel.  I then topped it off with a black ribbon bow. I then set to work on the card inside. You can see here I stamped the Dream Catcher off the bottom right of the card.  I added a few stamps of the D...

Catch Your Dream Tag

Today I am sharing this pretty tag I Created using Dare 2B Artzy Dream Catcher Stamps.  These stamps are a new CHA release. To create this tag I started by lightly inking my background with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and my distress tool.  I then inked over my Prima Crackle Stencil.  I then inked of my The Crafter's Workshop stencil (see the butterflies :D)   I stamped the Dare to Dream stamp over the background with distress inks. I then matted my tag onto Core'dinations Tim Holtz Distress Colors Cardstock. I stamped my greeting and the dream catcher onto white cardstock.  I cut the greeting into a banner and matted onto the Core-dinations Cardstock.  I fancy cut out the center of the dream catcher (to make it look like a flower) and then matted it on to the cardstock. After attach these to my tag I hand cut some leaves and tucked them under my "flower" .  I added some netting and a little birdie for accents! Hope you enjoyed this project.
