Welcome crafty stampers to today's Craft Room Therapy.  Today we are going to create this beautiful watercolor background for my stamped Painted Lavender Flowers. This technique looks stunning but is really easy to do!

Shop the Supply List

Basic White Cardstock
Classic Stampin' Ink Spots
Stampin' Spritzer
Baker's Twine
Stampin' Write Markers
Painted Lavender Stamp Set
Sentimental Park Stamp Set

Start by creating your 4 x 5 1/4 inch card base from the Basic White Cardstock.by cutting your  Cardstock to 8\ x 11, score and fold at 4 inches.

Cut a second piece of Basic White Cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5 inches.  This will be the piece we use for our  watercolor background.

Stamp you ink pad on to a non-stick surface such as a glass mat, a large stamp block.

Spritz your stamped inks with water.

Lay your Basic White Cardstock onto your inks.
Lift up and reveal your background.

Add additional inks to fill your background as desired. And then let dry.

Color your Painted Lavender with you Stampin' Write Markers.

Stamp onto your background.  Stamp again without re-inking to create a lighter colored lavender. Continue adding Stamped images as desired.

Stamp Greeting from Sentimental Park Stamp Set onto Basic White cardstock and banner cut. Adhere to your card.  Add a Baker's Twine bow to finish your card.

I hope you enjoyed this little Craft Room "Therapy" session!
