Vintage Tissue Paper Phone Stand

Greetings!  Today I am excited to share this phone stand I created!  I love Clear Scraps Phone Stands .  I use them to "hold" my phone so it never gets lost on my desk!  here's a secret I also keep one on my work desk to hold my calculator!   And the one I created today is reversible!  Here is the peak at the "B" side!

To recreate this project you will need:

 Clear Scraps Supplies

Clear Scraps Vintage Wood Phone Stand

Clear Scraps Small Sanding Stick

Other Supplies

Paint, mod podge, printed tissue paper, distress inks

Start by painting your Clear Scraps Vintage Wood Phone Stand with white paint. This step will help the colors of your tissue paper really stand out!

This is a snap shot of my before stage of the tissue paper.
"Stamp" ink onto your non-stick surface.
Add water to your inks.
Press front side of your tissue paper into inks.
Add additional colors if you desire.
Keep adding ink  colors until your are satisfied with your tissue paper.  It is a good idea to leave a few areas without ink to add some additional visual contrast to your project.

Trim tissue paper to fit front and back of your stand.

Apply a layer of mod podge to your Clear Scraps Vintage Wood Phone Stand

Adhere you tissue paper.  Add another layer of mod podge over your tissue paper. Let dry.

Sand off edges of tissue paper using Clear Scraps Small Sanding Stick .

Adhere another piece of tissue paper to the opposite side of your Clear Scraps Vintage Wood Phone Stand. Apply a layer of mod podge. Once dry, sand edges with your Clear Scraps Small Sanding Stick

Assemble your phone stand choosing whichever side matches your mood for the day.  i hope you are inspired to get creative with your Clear Scraps Phone Stands.
