Take Time to Get Away

Summer Greetings!   Today I am excited to share this beach-y watercolor greeting I created with distress inks.   The Sentiment I used is to remind myself and the person I was making the card for to take time to get away during these trying times. Even if the get away is only to your own garden.

Blank Page Muse Supplies

Other Supplies
Distress Inks
Water Color brush
water color paper
Embossing folder
card base
cardstock

Secure water color paper to your surface.  Apply distress inks to trees and stamp.

Repeat stamping to add additional trees.
Stamp mountains repeatedly to create bay.
Add bird so that you can play along with this month's Things that Fly Challenge!

Stamp beach shack onto a separate piece of watercolor paper.

Using a water color brush or a fine brush dipped in water gently spread ink to color images.
After watercoloring images, I adding additional diluted distress inks with a watercolor brush to create the sea and sky.  Let dry.

Emboss cardstock and cut center out.

 Cut a black cardstock frame.
Measure and cut center out of front of card base.

Add cut frames.
Mat water color image onto embossed card stock and attach to inside of card.
Fussy cut beach shack and add to front of card.

Stamp and mat sentiment to finish card.

I hope you are inspired to try creating a watercolor scene with your stamps.
