Creating a Die Cut Window Card

Greetings die cut fans, today I am excited to share my first creation for Dies R Us  .  The cheery card features Sizzix's Geo Trio.    As I am always looking at new way to use my dies, I decided to try cutting my die in a "repeating" fashion to create multiple windows!   I was in a "purple' mood and chose purple shades for my 5 x 7 card, but you can easily adapt the card to any color or size. So lets get started.  Start by cutting a piece of white cardstock to 4 3/4 x 6 1/2. Die cut along one edge leaving a small border.   Re-position die leaving about the width on one hexagon and re-die cut as shown. below.  Re-position die and die cut to create the third window.  Move and die cut again to create the 4th window.   The resulting die cut is so pretty and lacy!  . Grab your card stock in 2 coordinating colors.  Choose one piece to mat your die cut piece.  Cut mat to 6 3/4 x 4 7/8.  From your second...

Earth Day Celebration tag

Greetings!  Today I am excited to share this tag i created to celebrate Earth Day with ScraPerfect #ScraPerfectgetsdowntoEarth.  Working in the field of Environmental Health, I love Earth Day. Adhere to your tag with  ScraPerfect’s Best Glue Ever with No Clog Writing Cap .  The  No Clog Writing Cap  allows you to add just a small amount of adhesive! Start by die cutting die cut your erath and then ink with gold ink.  Adhere to your tag with  ScraPerfect’s Best Glue Ever  with  No Clog Writing Cap .  The  No Clog Writing Cap  allows you to get adhesive on those super thin lines!  Earth day is all about not using more than you need and re-using and re-purposing items.  So I choose to re-color a metal charm I had using a gold sharpie!   After attaching my re-purposed charm to a tied jute bow, I added just a small dollop of  ...

Easter Shaker Magnet

Easter Greetings!  Today I am excited to share this cute Shaker Egg I created to adorn my fridge!  Featuring the Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Easter Egg ,  I love that this shaker allowed me to embellish each section differently!  Start by painting your  Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Easter Egg .  I painted the base several shades lighter than my top.  Once dry, Assemble your middle layers of your  Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Easter Egg .  The zig zags in the  Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Easter Egg  create 3 different sections you can fill.  Fill each section as desired, covering the other sections to create the 3 different colored sections.    Add your clear acrylic to your shaker box.  Don't forget to remove the protective cocering from both sides of the acrylic.  Add painted top layer and a sticker sentiment to the front.  You can then add to a card, a layout or attach a magnet to the back and hang on your f...
