Summertime Faith

Greetings, Chris here and today I am sharing this card of encouragement I created.  This card is simple enough to be a card stash builder.  Simply make multiple cards of the same design and change the sentiment. I chose to combine the colorful  Summertime Petals Paper Collection  with a sentiment from the Angel of Faith Stamp Set.    I just love the bright and cheery colors in this paper collection! I hope you are inspired to get Artzy!

Who wants to play Reindeer Games?

I love this time of year!  Lots of New Releases!  But that also means lots of busy creating time for me!  Today I am super excited to share my creations with Dare 2B Artzy's newest Reindeer Games Stamp Set!   Be sure to stop on over to the Artzy Community Page   to see all the new releases.  A $15 Gift Card will be given away to one lucky customer!  I just loved this Reindeer.  I envisioned him to have a bit of "scruffy" fur and that he just maybe had stuck his head into that decorations box and pulled out a bunch of decorations!  After coloring my image I added some mini jingle bells and a a little tuft of a cotton ball.   I did pair this image with D2BA 's Holiday Bouquet Paper Collection.  I loved the image so much that I created a second card, this time adding the ornaments included with the stamp set! I even added a hint of Stickles on the ornaments to add the shine.

Using Stencils to create colorful cards

Many Uses for Acrylic in your Card Marking

Summer Greetings!   Today I am excited to share two different ways to use Clear Scraps 12 x 12 Acrylic Sheets. I love coming up with multiple uses for my supplies!  I chose to use the 6 inch Plaid Stencil as a background for both cards. For the first card, I chose to die cut my acrylic. I used my Big Shot and a Large Sizzix die (not the thinlits).  I did run the acrylic through 2-3 times to insure a full cut.  I was amazed at how well the acrylic cut! You can see that this was a somewhat detailed die and still not a problem cutting through the acrylic!  For my second card I decided to stamp onto the acrylic. After stamping my large image onto the acrylic with Staz-on Ink, I colored on the back side of the acrylic with alcohol markers. I love the transparent look you can achieve as you can see below on the open card. I hope you are inspired to get creative with your acrylic sheets!
