This Guy has my Heart

Today I am sharing a layout created with this weeks sketch from Nuts about Sketches.  I really love the color combo on this!  Red and black are not new combos for me but love the teal addition!  What have you been creating lately?  Sadly this is my last Nuts About Sketches creation and the site is going to be taking a break.  I will really miss Shawn's Sketches!  Especially the 2 pagers!  Some of my favorite layouts have been created with her sketches!

Inky Thinking of You Card

Turtle Soup/Scrapping Turtle  sent me this amazing Crafter's Workshop stencil to create with.

I loved that "little Frame" immediately and kept seeing framed flowers, so I decided to try to create what I was seeing. I used lots of Tim Holtz inks and markers and stamps.  Hope you like :D

Love this

I created this layout today as part of Turtle Soup's February mini crop.  My challenge was to create a project with LOVE in the title, but to not use red or pink.  This layout also features one of my favorite things to do... recolor letter stickers.  I used Heidi Swapp silver glittery stickers and colors them brown with my Copic markers.  I also created the large doily using my Kreaxions circle cutter and the Positioning stencil and Kreaxions punch #304.

Buffalo Ranch

IMG_6022

Today I am sharing this adorable layout of Buffalo Ranch in Yellowstone National Park.  I love the golds and browns together for this layout.  And loved the gold mottled paper and wanted to show it off so I created a  large doily.  I started by cutting a large circle using my Kreaxions Circle cutter and then marked the punch lines on the back side with the 'A' positioning stencil.  I then punched along the lines using my #304 Kreaxions punch!  I then used my We R Memory Keepers stamping punch wheel to create the border around the photos. Have you punched anything fun lately?

the Road to Silver Gate

Here is my take on this month's Design Team sketch for Turtle Soup.  I stretched the sketch to create a 2 page layout.  Still not 100% sure I like the busy background...It's a little outside my norm.
