Some Punch border fun!

IMG_1342

Today I am sharing this layout created with my #907 punch.  But did you notice?  2 different borders??? And I only used 1 punch! I punched the top border with the Kreaxions #907 punch.  The bottom border is the "tear away" strip that is left after punching the top border! A guess what it works with almost every one of there punches! Hope you try them out!

Photo Op

IMG_1270

Today I am sharing this Photo Op layout I create for Just Imagine/Kreaxions.  To create this layout I started by creating a larger phot0 mat and punching the edge with my #904 punch.  I then added the punched doily in gold behind my photo.  To create the doily I used my circle cutter to cut the circle, then used my A template to mark the back of my circle and punched along the lines using my #924 punch.

I have been dying to use these Tim Holtz Zombie Stamps stamps.  So I created this cute card for my hubby.  The inside of the card says I *heart* you for your brains!  This was so fun to color with my distress markers and my water pen! I used my handy Kreaxions #919 punch to create the border!

Border Punch Fun

IMG_1276

Today I am sharing this super fun layout using only border strips for my background.  For the strips I used my #919 punch and the left over strip!   I absolutely love that each border punch really gives you 2 different strips!!!  I love how just using the border strips of this "loud" paper seemed to tone it down just a tad.  Can't wait to see what you create!

Kreaxions Punches

IMG_1245

Today sharing this cool boys layout using my Kreaxion's punches.  For this layout I started with the star template and added the 907 punch with the A insert to create the star doily in the background.  I then added a border strip created using the #909 with the A insert.  I saved the punch outs from the 909 to add to the corners and as accents to my page.

How to use a mask for inking

Today I am sharing my take on this week's sketch for Sketches in Thyme!  I also used this sketch to create my challenge for Scrapping Turtle's Mini Crop.  The sketch called for 3 photos but I replace 2 of the photos with tags and then instead of added a circle,  I used a cicrle as a mask  and inked around the circle.  I then added faux stitching along the circle outline.

Creating 2 different borders with 1 punch

IMG_1182

HI! Today I am sharing this 2 page layout I created using Kreaxions #920 punch.  To create the bottom border strips I used my #920 punch along the edge. The to create the top border I used the "scrap" leftover from punching out that border.  Isn's it cool that with one punch you can have 2 different borders!!!!!!

SIN CITY BLOG HOP

If you are starting at my blog please click here!

Welcome to our  Sin City ATC Blog Hop.  Each of our Design team members will be sharing a set of ATC with you.  Be sure to comment on each blog and then head back over to the Sin City Blog to let them know which ATC stamp you would like to win!  Don't forget to like our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.

Supplies needed:
Distress Markers: Hickory Smoke, Frayed Burlap, Fossilized Amber, Iced Spruce, Black Soot, Wild Honey, Ground Espresso, Festive Berries, Faded Jeans, Old Paper, Brushed Corduroy, Tea Dye, Dusty Concord
Distress Ink: Weathered Wood, Victorian Velvet
Copic Markers:BG45, B21, G24, YG67, Y15, YR04, E33

To create these ATC, I started by  stamping the Lion and the Scarecrow onto a piece of scrap paper.  I then cut both of the images out to create a mask.
I then stamped the Yellow Brick Road on all three ATC, stamping over the masks for the lion and scarecrow. For the Scarecrow I chose to use my Distress Markers to colors directly on the stamp and then stamped the image.

I did use a black journaling pen to fill in any parts of the road that did not stamp,

Since the Tin Man was walking up the road I stamped him "on top" of the Yellow Brick Road.

I colored the tin man using my Hickory Smoke Distress Marker and a water brush to spread out the ink.
To color the Yellow Brick Road, I outlined each brick with my Fossilized Amber Distress Marker and then spread the ink with my water brush.

The lion was colored with Brushed Corduroy and Tea Dye Distress Markers

I then inked the backgrounds with my distress tool and Weathered Wood Distress Ink Pad.  I then stamped OZ over the backgrounds.

The create the sayings I stamped the quotes onto white cardstock and then cut the quotes apart and attached to each card.

To create the back of each card I stamped the  ATC stamp and colored the image with Copic Markers

Here is a close up of each ATC and the Back.

Hope you are inspired!  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's projects, and make sure you leave me some love and stop back to the Sincity stamps blog and tell them which of the four ATC you like best.  This is your change to win one!
