My burlap Addiction continues

Lately I have been enamored with burlap.  Love using it on my scrapbook layouts.  Just bought a burlap and sunflower table runner.  and I decided to make this wreath.  Still a little early for fall decorations but it is adorning my front door anyway!

Week 330 from NAS

Love last weeks sketch from Nuts About Sketches (week 330).  This was a pictur eof my girls from homecoming 2011.  I used February My Creative Scrapbook kit which I have lots leftover from.  Its got a lot of heart-sy sort of things and I don't do alot of love themed layouts!   But I am really trying to use these kits I love to buy .... so here is the result.

Happy memories

Another 2 page layout using Yellowstone pictures and a Nuts about Sketches sketch (sketch #319).  I have also been very hard to use up some of my old kits that I have bought over the years.  and of course a touch of burlap which is my new favorite texture!

Mammoth Hot Springs

Yes I am still buried in pictures from our first trip to Yellowstone.  I created this layout using this weeks sketch at Nuts about Sketches (sketch #331).  I love how Shawn's sketches let me get lots of photos on a page, while still highlighting the photos!

Sarah in New York

I have been a little behind in blogging.  Here is a layout I did for Nuts about Sketches ( Sketch # 321) .  Sarah was very lucky that her school choir got to go to New Yorkand sing at Carnegie Hall during last spring break.  Of course Sarah didn't really share these with me, so being the scrapbooking mom that I am I swiped them from her Facebook page!  She loved how the page turned out!

Core'dinations Design Team Call

I love to challenge myself to create things for design team calls.  Core'dinations is this awesome "no white core" cardstock.  I have a rather large collection of cardstock and this brand is always one of my favorites.  Here are a few examples I created using this cardstock.
I created this beachy themed layout using the Vintage Collections. I love how it added so much texture with cardstock!  Check out this up close look at those die cuts.  To make the seaweed I used a Martha Stewart leaf border punch and cut it apart!  Super Fun!

Next up my birthday card.  I used a bi-fold pattern that I have never tried before and love the results.

For this card I used the Solid CoreCardstock and punches and embossing.  Very simple but lots of impact!  Love the de-bossed look on the right side!

Next up a thank you card.  You can never have too many thank you cards waiting to be sent!

For this card I used the Vintage collection and the White Wash Collection.  I also used my paper piercer and my sewing machine!  Once again I used my leaf border punch to make the leaf-y background for the burlap flowers.  I sanded all the edges of the White Wash Cardstock to show off the red core underneath.  Below you can see the texture in that Vintage Cardstock !   Stunning!

August 4th Sketch from Turtle Soup

Here is my take on this month's Design team sketch over at Turtle Soup Fourms.  As you can see I am still making my way through all of 2012's Yellowstone pictures.  Which means I am officially 3 vacations behind on my scrapbooking.  If you love scrapbooking challenges check out the Turtle Soup Forum. We have 12 or more challenges each month followed by a mini crop!  Always lots of great inspiration.
